The final NABC/Division II coaches poll for the 2006 calendar year saw only slight changes on the top end as a majority of the teams in the Top 25 came away unscathed.
Only three of the teams ranked among the top 15 lost last week. One was Seattle Pacific, which lost to new No. 24 Cal State-San Bernardino and then dropped two games in Las Vegas over the weekend. Winona State remained atop the rankings for the fourth straight week followed by Clayton State, Central Missouri, Bentley and Southern Indiana in the top five. The only newcomers to the poll are a pair of teams from California: Cal State-San Bernardino and Cal Poly Pomona. The next poll will be released January 2, 2007.
